Muiravonside Country Park
The Country Park owned and managed by Falkirk Council Community Service; formerly an estate owned by the Stirling family of Falkirk, is situated in the Southeast corner of the Falkirk Council area and covers an area of 170 acres very rich in historic, industrial and wildlife interests.
The park consists of a Visitor Centre with displays and information on the estates past history, the role of the Ranger Service and local biodiversity of the area.
Newparks Farm, which has a variety of domestic stock consisting of rare breeds and exotic animals and birds, is open to the public all year round, a wonderful place to bring children!
Play area, horse rides and wonderful walks along the River Avon, which now forms part of the new ‘River Avon Heritage Trail’, with links to the Union Canal and the wider countryside. There are approximately four miles of footpaths within the Park where one can see an array of wildlife, trees and plants, etc.

The country park is open to public access 365 days per year. Vehicle access is restricted, via the main gate, to the hours of:
April - September 8.00am – 8.30pm
October- March 8.00am – 5.00pm
Visitor Centre
April – September 9.30am – 5.00pm Weekdays
10.30am – 6.00pm Weekends
October – March 10.00am – 4.00pm Weekends only
Newparks Farm
All year 9.30am – 4.00pm
The Steading Café
Opening times vary and are usually posted on the door

Events and Activities
The Countryside Service runs a children's summer 'schools-out|' programme during July and August. All other activities, including Group visits, BBQs, walks, talks to schools, groups, and other organisations, must be booked via the Visitor Centre on 01506 845311.
Fishing
Fishing is restricted on the River Avon by permit, daily permits available from the Visitor Centre during opening hours.

Litter Bins
There are no litter bins on site as it is Countryside Service policy to educate the public to take their litter home for disposal.

There are no sheltered areas available for schools or groups apart from the Visitor Centre, which has public access.
Wheelchair access
The Visitor Centre, Café, Play area and Newparks Farm are accessible to wheelchair users, as are some woodland paths (depending on the time of year).
