Falkirk

Lower Newmarket Street

These days, people say that most town centres look the same, with the same stores and not enough individuality – not so in Falkirk's case. In fact, in recent years, Falkirk town centre has rightly gained a reputation for being one of the finest shopping destinations in Scotland.

The town centre boasts two large and attractive shopping centres, The Mall – Howgate, and Callendar Square, Central Retail Park – a retail and leisure park the likes of which you would normally find out-of-town and a fully pedestrianised High Street, all packed with all the leading national stores you would expect.

Take a few steps off the High Street to Cow Wynd, Wooer Street, Lint Riggs, Newmarket Street, Callendar Riggs etc. and you'll find the finest selection of local independent businesses including designer boutiques, gift shops, galleries…..the list is almost endless. These speciality stores delight the millions of shoppers visiting Falkirk every year with their unique ranges of products and the quality of service they provide their customers.

The town centre is the venue for many popular events such as the authentic French Street Markets and the famous Farmers' Markets held on the second Sunday of every month.
