For Falkirk's Bairns
For Falkirk's Bairns 2005-2008 is Falkirk's first Integrated Children's Services Plan.
Falkirk Council , Forth Valley NHS, Central Scotland Police, Scottish Children's Reporter Administration and the Voluntary Sector have all worked together to create the plan.
All of these agencies plan and deliver services for children and young people. An individual from each service is part of a group called the Falkirk Children's Commission. Its job is to make sure that all of the work in the plan is carried out.
Children, young people and their parents and carers have also provided their ideas as to how the plan should look. Their support has been very important and the Commission looks forward to their help in the future.
Falkirk's Children's Commission is aiming to provide services which help children and young people to achieve their personal goals.
Our Vision
We want every child and young person to have an enjoyable fulfilling life in a nurturing, healthy and safe environment.
We will encourage children and young people to work to their potential and to make a positive contribution to society.
To help us achieve this vision it has been agreed that our priorities for all children and young people in Falkirk from 2005-2008 are:
-
Better health and well being
-
Good home, nursery, school and work prospects
-
Safe and secure surroundings for everyone
-
A combined system that delivers joined up services
As the work of the plan is delivered all comments and ideas are welcome.
