Family Learning

Mother and children reading together
Family Learning is for anyone who wants to develop their own skills and learning in order to help their children. It is about creating opportunities for parents to play a more active part in their child's learning.

It takes place in a group setting where parents (and grandparents) can talk about issues  which may affect their children's learning and  share ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. It is designed to foster positive links between parents, educational establishments and other local agencies.

It can also provide opportunities for parents and children to learn together and for parents to progress on to other educational programmes.

All Family Learning is free and takes place in local community venues at times and in places to suit the learner.  Creche is also provided.

If you want to find out more please contact the Community Education Service on 01324 503670.
