AN INVITATION TO CONTINUE YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE DESIGN OF THE TAMFOURHILL REGENERATION PROJECT
To ensure local residents help to contribute to the design proposals for this area, British Waterways Scotland and Falkirk Council invite local residents of Tamfourhill, Camelon and the surrounding area to attend a series of workshop events.
The first in this series of workshops was held at the beginning of December 2009 where the project was introduced and potential ideas were discussed. Feedback was positive and the event welcomed by those attending. The development team discussed many useful suggestions that were put forward by the local community.
The next event, Stage 2 is due to be held at the beginning of February and will exhibit the initial proposals that respond to the comments made by local residents during Stage 1.
A further workshop will be held at the beginning of March to display the final proposed masterplan.
Stage 2 - 03 & 04 February 2010
Presentation of sketched ideas. Response to the comments and ideas collated during Stage 1 of the consultation process. Emerging masterplan proposals will be exhibited to the community. This stage will inform the community of the masterplan's progress and encourage essential feedback to the design team.
Wednesday 03 February at Camelon Education Centre
Thursday 04 February at Tamfourhill Community Hall
These plans will also be permanently displayed at The Falkirk Wheel during the public consultation process.
Stage 3 - Thursday 11 March 2010
Masterplan proposal. The masterplan will be developed responding to the comments and discussion points raised at Stage 2. A presentation of the final proposed masterplan will be made to the community and consultees before a Planning Application is submitted to Falkirk Council late Spring/early Summer 2010.
This event will be held at the Falkirk Wheel and will be publicised in the local press. All of the finalised plans will be left on permanent public display.
