The Partnership Board

The work of the Community Planning Partnership is overseen by a Partnership Board that comprises the Chair and Chief Executives of a number of organisations.  It is chaired by the Leader of Falkirk Council and comprises of representatives of the following organisations:

 

 

The Partnership Board provides political and strategic direction for Community Planning in the area.  The Board also holds the partnership to account for its performance to ensure that it achieves its key priorities and outcomes.  The key responsibilities of the Partnership Board include:

  • Championing Community Planning
  • Tackling barriers
  • Identifying and actioning opportunities for further development
  • Ensuring the commitment of key partners to the process
  • Co-ordinating the work of the partnership at a strategic level, including ensuring joint action on cross cutting issues.
  • Define priorities and approve the Strategic Community Plan
  • Liasing with the Scottish Executive.

 

The Community Planning Partnership prepares a Strategic Community Plan once every five years.  This comprises a vision for the Falkirk Council area as well as key priorities are outlined within six themes as follows:

 

  1. Importing the Performance of the local Economy and Tourism
  2. Enhancing lifelong learning and opportunity
  3. Creating a sustainable local environment and improving transport.
  4. Regenerating our communities
  5. Enabling out citizens to live safely
  6. Improving health and wellbeing
