The average house price in Falkirk in the first quarter of 2005 was £104,450. The equivalent Scottish and UK prices were £105,400 and £162,840 respectively. House prices in the area are increasing rapidly with an 11% increase in the year to July 2005. The average house price for new houses in Falkirk was £152,660. The overall median house price was £85,000, however 25% of houses sold for less than £60,000. It is anticipated that over the next few years there will continue to be a large number of new houses built in the Falkirk area, current estimations are that 1,000 approx houses will be completed annually.
