While the percentage (29%) of school leavers entering Higher Education mirrors the Scottish average (29%), those going on to Further Education are lower for Falkirk at 13% compared to 21% for Scotland. The higher (22%) than Scottish average (16%) moving into unemployment reflects the persistence of high youth unemployment in the Falkirk area.
